Founded in 1992, Normandin Beaudry is a major player in Canada’s actuarial and total rewards consulting sector. From offices in Montreal, Toronto and Quebec City, a team of over 350 professionals serves clients across Canada in various areas of total rewards: pension, savings, investment consulting, pension plan administration, group benefits, health, compensation, performance and communication.

 

In 2023, while retaining its independence, Normandin Beaudry expanded its reach by becoming an equal shareholder of MBWL International, an existing joint venture between Milliman, Barnett Waddingham and Lurse, enabling the firm to continue to provide excellent service to its clients as they expand internationally.

 

We are looking for a Consultant to join our DC and Savings consulting team in our Toronto office and Montreal office. The role involves managing projects for client organizations of various sizes and business sectors, and, depending on your interest, participating in business development.

Your mission (non-exhaustive list):

  • Plan and manage ongoing projects and support resources
  • Support the development of associate consultants and analysts through coaching, delegating and peer review
  • Make recommendations, anticipate needs and respond to requests from internal and external clients
  • Take part in annual projects (plan and investment performance review, governance oversight, recordkeeper management, etc.) and ad hoc projects (plan design analyses, benchmarking, investment lineup review, insurer request for proposals, etc.)
  • Prepare presentations for various stakeholders and plan members

Based on your interests, you could:

  • Contribute to research and development in one of our areas of expertise (plan design, investments, governance and administration, communication and engagement, etc.)
  • Participate in external visibility activities (e.g., conferences)
  • Help prepare proposals and presentations to potential clients.

Qualifications and skills:

  • At least 5 years of consulting experience in a DC and savings practice or relevant experience

  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Demonstrate professionalism and accountability
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, or other relevant degree
